Originally from New Jersey, Samson Auck grew up in Seattle. After completing their Foundations year, Samson will join the Cornish Art Department this autumn, where they’ll focus on oil painting and screen printing. Panting dogs brings them particular joy. Samson enjoys popcorn with sriracha.

I was almost scared to paint this at first because of the intensity of the man’s expression and the complexity of his structure, but I really quickly fell in love with the challenge and spent hours painting on my own.” – Samson
